The Story of Lash

As lesser fae, the family line of which Lash comes from is known more as a 'family of pets' by a higher fae that offers the goblins protection and food in return for running their every day lives. Basic slavery without the beatings, this higher fae creature eventually began to experiment with breeding specific goblins together that showed different characteristics to their peers. Slowly but surely, the original goblins were outnumbered by the newer goblins that lived longer, were slightly taller, and had nicer features in comparison. These new findings eventually lead to the birth of Lash, who was seen by her peers as a Princess among their kind, and appointed as such almost immediately. She also seemed smarter, more curious, and more charismatic than her other family members, allowing her to barter with the higher fae to earn her people more and better rights. In exchange, she would complete whatever task the higher fae deemed worthy of such a prize.

And thus the higher fae decreed that she would take part in another experiment, exploring and surviving the mortal world to see if she was capable of outliving her peers and family. So she did without hesitation, as her curiosity would inevitably lead her to the outside world anyways, though it did not come without failing a few times. She would end up nearly enslaved by another, almost killed by a few, and barely scraping by with her hunger until she ran into a specific red oni whom she befriended quickly. The two would set off on an adventure, and though Lash would commonly slip away from her newly made friend to get into some mischief, the two would explore the big wide world together.
