Hei is an ancient tiger spirit that has guarded the gates to hell for centuries, devouring souls and slaying powerful warriors. Originally he took the form of a massive black spectral tiger with bright teal eyes, however over the centuries he has transformed into a human form that he maintains most of the time. He is quite skilled in using his spiritual power in combat, wielding his claws and fangs even in his human form, furthermore as he devours souls he grows stronger.
Great Lotus Saber
A weapon forged from the malice of those he has slain at the gates of hell, it has trapped the blizzards of the cold hells into its blade and freezes those it cuts through to their soul. So far the sword has rejected all other wielders though Hei often posits that even his possession of the sword is only temporary, he has yet to even figure out how the fickle weapon chooses a master.
Thunders of Naraka
Hei can control the winds and lightning of the sixteen hells, charging his body with them or commanding them in powerful storms and blizzards.
Drunk on the Blood of Man
As a tiger spirit Hei grows drunk when he drinks the blood of men, this makes his spiritual powers more potent but also makes him violent and reckless. Consuming the hearts of men increases Hei's power even more.
Malice of a Man Eater
History
The wandering gatekeeper of hell who is looking for a brief reprieve from his duties, though the nature of a tiger is hard to tame and causes quite a bit of trouble.~
